Thanksgiving is this Thursday, and today’s Storybook Reading is “Thanks from the Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.
Just like the Very Hungry Caterpillar we are thankful for you. Who are you thankful for?
This year we are using the core stories from the Godly Play curriculum. It is a powerful and playful way to connect children to the foundational stories of our faith. Children Preschool through 3rd grade are invited to participate in PEAK. Participants will be together for some activities, but divided into age groups for others. Cloud 9 is for students in 4th and 5th grades. It is a chance for them to dig deeper together in the lessons, and take on some more challenging instruments during music. PEAK is geared toward younger children where they learn through play and story telling. All ages are introduced to music and art as is developmentally appropriate.
We are watching COVID numbers in our area, and following the recommendations of the CDC as it pertains to children. Adults working with PEAK & Cloud 9 will wear masks unless they are speaking to the group. We will be doing programming outside in the pavilion or in Westminster Hall. We choose activities that encourage social distancing, utilize hand sanitizer, and create opportunities for hand washing. We will utilize hand sanitizer and create opportunities for hand washing. And choose activities that encourage social distancing. Parents choose if their child needs to wear a mask during activities.
If you are considering participating, but unsure go ahead and fill out the registration.
